Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy explains what personal data HavuProxy collects when you visit our website or use our proxy service, why we collect it and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to run the service, and we never sell your data.

Who we are

HavuProxy is responsible for your personal data as described here. You can reach us about privacy at support@havuproxy.com.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and password. We store passwords only in a scrambled (hashed) form that can’t be read back.
  • Billing records: top-ups, purchases, refunds and redeem codes on your balance. Crypto payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive the payment amount and status, not your wallet’s private details.
  • Plans and usage: the proxy plans you buy, their settings (such as countries and session length) and how much bandwidth each plan uses.
  • Support messages: what you write in support tickets and our replies.
  • Email choices: which optional emails you want, such as low-balance alerts, usage reports and product news.
  • Technical data: a sign-in cookie, plus the IP address and browser details that every web request includes, which our hosting may keep in short-term logs.

Traffic through our proxies

We don’t read or store the content of the traffic you send through our proxies. The network measures how much bandwidth you use so we can bill you and show your usage. We may look into how a plan is used when we receive an abuse report, to enforce our Acceptable Use Policy.

How we use your data

  • To create your account, keep you signed in and provide the proxies you buy (our contract with you).
  • To process payments, keep billing records and meet tax and accounting rules (legal obligations).
  • To send service emails, such as address confirmation and account notices (our contract with you).
  • To send optional emails, like usage reports and product news, only if you’ve left them switched on (your consent or our legitimate interest). You can turn them off in your settings.
  • To answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, and only what each one needs:

  • Hosting and database providers that store the site and your account.
  • Our proxy network partner, to set up and run your proxy plans and measure their usage.
  • Our email delivery provider, to send you emails.
  • Our crypto payment provider, to take payments.
  • A phone alert service that tells our staff when a new support ticket arrives. It receives a ticket reference, not what you wrote.

We may also share data when the law requires it, to protect people or our service from harm, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy keeps applying.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries. When data leaves the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on safeguards the law recognises, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Account, plan and support data: while your account is open, and for a short time after it closes.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Sign-in sessions: they end after 30 days or when you sign out.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or download your data. You can also object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@havuproxy.com from your account address and we’ll reply within one month.

You can change your name, password and email choices yourself in your account settings. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use encrypted connections, store passwords in hashed form and keep your sign-in cookie out of reach of page scripts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don’t use anywhere else.

Children

The service is not for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Cookies

We only use cookies that the site needs to work. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Changes to this policy

We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll email you as well.
